Sharing what I have learned about habits, and happiness. This is a video I filmed for my client group but I thought it was worth sharing here too.
I also go off on a wee tangent about confirmation bias and habits.
In it’s very basic form Confirmation Bias is when you think something and your brain scans your environment for supporting evidence – regardless of whether that thought is positive or negative. So it’s a good idea to be really careful about what you think…especially about yourself.
Habits are deeply entrenched neural pathways. To form new habits we need to repeat a behavior many times to strengthen those neural pathways.
